Shooting Investigation
On October 12, 2019
at approximately 10:12 AM the Pelham NH Police Department received a call of an
active shooter situation occurring at the New England Pentecostal Church at 955
Bridget Street Pelham NH.
A wedding was
occurring at the church during the time of the call. Initial officers arrived on scene within 3 minutes and discovered two individuals
suffering from gunshot wounds within the church. Additionally the suspected
shooter was being subdued by guests of the wedding. Responding officers placed the suspect under
arrest and rendered medical aid to the wounded individuals. The two individuals
were then transported to area hospitals by Pelham Fire Department ambulances.
There are no
reported deaths related to this incident at this time. Preliminary investigation
of the matter indicates that this incident does not appear to be a random
event.
We will not be
releasing the names of the involved individuals or suspect at this time.
Numerous local,
state, county and federal agencies responded to the scene of the event to
assist the Pelham Police Department.
The criminal
investigation of this matter has been turned over to the New Hampshire Attorney
General’s Office and the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime investigators.
A more detailed
statement regarding this matter will be released by the Attorney General’s
Office at a later time. All questions regarding this matter should be referred
