DATE: February 8th, 2016
Today, at approximately 1:57 PM, the
Blaine Police Department’s School Resource Officer assigned to Blaine High
School was notified of an incident by school administration. A message had been written on the wall of a
women’s restroom. The message was vague
but could have been construed as a potential threat. The Resource Officer along with several
Blaine Police Detectives began conducting an investigation into the incident.
A thorough investigation was
completed and investigators do not believe the message written on the wall has
any credibility and do not believe there is any safety concern related to it.
To ensure students feel
comfortable and safe at school tomorrow we will be increasing police presence
and there will be additional patrols throughout the day.
No further information will be
released at this time.
